Bethany considers it an honor to join clients in their journey of emotional healing. She strives to foster a therapeutic environment that is consistently safe & warm. She views people as uniquely created with inherent value, capable of change and growth with the right support and process. With a deep understanding of the intricate interplay between the mind and body, Bethany employs a neurobiological lens to guide clients through the complexities of anxiety and trauma. Grounded in the latest research on the brain and nervous system, she tailors therapeutic interventions that acknowledge the physiological aspects of mental health, fostering a holistic and effective healing process. She helps adults, adolescents, and children find healing and growth from anxiety, fears & phobias, OCD, PTSD, and developmental and relational trauma. She has also gained extensive experience working with children and families who have been through life-altering tragedies, and considers it a unique honor to come alongside these clients as they discover their “new normal.”

As a Registered Play Therapist, Bethany has completed additional training to provide children and families with developmentally appropriate approaches to therapy and parent-child relationship training. When working with children and families, Bethany often collaborates with teachers, administrators, and other caregivers to assist in achieving counseling goals. She enjoys equipping kids with the tools they need to process their big emotions and regain a sense of control and confidence.

Bethany is trained in Eye-Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), which she uses with both children and adults. The use of EMDR with children is a specific practice that she has completed additional training in to serve this population effectively. Bethany often integrates EMDR with talk therapy or Play Therapy when working with clients.

She is a board-approved LPC Supervisor, as well as a Registered Play Therapist Supervisor, and enjoys walking alongside provisionally licensed therapists as they grow in the profession. She is currently taking new Supervisees.

Bethany lives in Dallas, TX. Outside of counseling, she enjoys writing, shopping, being outdoors, serving at church, traveling, and spending quality time with friends and family. She is passionate about helping bridge the gap between the Church and Mental/Emotional Wellness.
